I can tell you that a friend of mine who owns a nationally/internationally known business started off paying 50 cents per click. As her volume of clicks went up and reached a certain benchmark..

Of course, her business is one of the top listed companies on the internet at this point, based upon 'click through', so I don't know that you would ever reach the 'zero' point.

After struggling to come to terms with twitter I am definitely starting to get it now! There is some serious merit in building a decent twitter list!

Thanks for sharing, Jonathan. I agree with the other posters that this is quite cheap for this market. I also find it interesting as a comparison to your "Advertise" page that says average CPCs are around 0.20 to 0.30 for the ads on your site (when you back them out to the monthly level). Both SponsoredTweets and ads on your site seem like great advertising opportunities.

That's very cheap.
If someone would have a conversion ratio of 2% that would make $21 per sale. That is very cheap in the MMO market.

I've recently made a Twitter account to keep up with authors' up-and-coming books. I'd like to have Twitter send me Tweets to my phone, but I need to know if I need Interent access or does it cost money?
