Will the site, TheSocialMillionaire.com be the next Milliondollarhomepage? Pat Hankinson, the creator of the social millionaire dot com thinks so. While I don't know if it will raise a million dollars, I think it's a pretty interesting idea which is why I agreed to this review.
How the site works:
This is an interesting new site that allows users to bid on certain keywords, starting with a $1 bid. Each keyword has a list of links showing the highest bidder at the top proceeding down to the lowest bidder. These are lifetime links, guaranteed to be active till 2013 at the minimum.
For example, someone could bid on the keyword: "Free Money Making Course" and a list of links will show 
There are some obvious SEO benefits to a page like this which is why I decided to purchase "Affiliate Marketing" but SEO traffic is not the primary focus of this website.
As you'll notice, the name is the SOCIAL Millionaire. The premises behind this website is to drive traffic both virally and using social traffic platforms such as myspace, facebook, youtube, etc. Interesting idea. The Social Millionaire is essentially going to become a brand used to drive curiosity clicks and traffic.
The sign up process is extremely easy. You type in the keyword you desire and put in the bid. Pay via paypal and then you're taken to the screen where you enter your keyword data.
All in all, I think Pat has a pretty great idea if he can back up his purchases with actual traffic from social networks. Only time will tell if it catches on.
Some things I would have liked to see in this site:
- A more definite plan on getting traffic. I know he plans on using social traffic and he explained it a bit to me but I still think that he could be a bit more clear on this.
- I would have loved to see the keyword pages be slightly more SEO friendly. He could have used a mod_rewrite to rewrite the URLs for the keyword to site.com/Keyword instead of site.com/page.php?i=42.

Affiliate ideas.
Because this is social traffic, you should think about how you can make money using affiliate links. If you were to purchase say a "Free dating" keyword and linked it directly to your affiliate ID, it really wouldn't take more than just one lead to make over triple your investment (based off most free dating offers).
The main thing about this site that is great is that it really is a fairly low investment. If it works, great! If it doesn't, you really only have lost a couple bucks.

it has been done, did not work… to similar to Milliondollar page + who wants to navigate page with bunch of standalone words just to get to the list of paid adds?
