High Dynamic Range Wallpapers – HDRWalls

Friday, Mar 21st, 2008 by Jonathan Volk

I have a 22″ monitor and as such, finding wallpapers for this large of a resolution can be challenging at times. Though this post is less about affiliate marketing and more about your work space, a happy workspace can ofter result in more productivity which is why I agreed to review the website HDRWalls.

The term High Dynamic Range is a set of techniques that allows a greater “dynamic range” of exposures (the range of values between light and dark areas) than normal digital imaging technique. (Wikipedia is my friend hahaha).

Technical stuff aside, they have over 500 high definition wallpapers and photos for you to use. Pretty sweet!

Now, the thing that I really liked about the website was that you can not only get amazing wallpapers, they have also “presized” the wallpapers to fit things such as your blackberry and iphone. :) If I ever break up with my girlfriend, I’ll be sure to replace the picture of her on oh my iPhone with one of these pics! But… let’s hope it never comes to that.

Now, let’s talk about monetization. Let’s tie this into affiliate marketing a bit.

What are some ways that this site could use affiliate marketing to better monetize their site? Right now they’re using Google Adsense, which is one way to make money but certainly there must be some sort of programs that would make him more.

While thinking about it, I thought it might be pretty neat to use the site to advertise some of the screen saver affiliates or something similar. You never know…

Anyway, what ideas do you think he could use to better monetize his site? How do you like the wallpapers?
