Great FAQs About Quality Score.

A person on the click consultants forum (highly recommended forum for those trying to get into affiliate marketing) asked these questions about Quality Score in Adwords.

  • 1. In my understand, Quality score = Relevant to Keyword (for Ad & landing page) + CTR, is it correct?
  • 2. Is Quality Score sticked to Account, Campaign, AdGroup, Ad or Keywords?
  • 3. Where can I check the Quality Score?
  • 4. If I had a AdGroup with Low Quality Score, will it affect another AdGroup in the same Campaign?
  • 5. What should I do if my Quality score is dropped to very LOW? Should I delete the AdGroup and create another?

To my experience this is what I have noticed.

  • 1. Correct.
  • 2. Adgroup / domain-landing page.
  • 3. In adwords I dont believe you really can. Just base it off your CPC
  • 4. Not to my experience. I had a site in the PPC program when QS was first introduced. The CPC went from 0.03 to 10.00… So.. I bought a new domain, copied all the files / content … change a few small things and bam… back to 0.03 – 0.05. (Also note I had a VERY high converting ad – 10% on good days)
  • 5. Quality score is going to stay the same for all landing pages to my experience. You might try buying a new domain and then creating a new campaign.
