I've been working on uploading a few campaigns into Microsoft Adcenter and have really been impressed with their support and some of the key features.
First, It's really easy to upload current Google Adwords campaigns into your Adcenter account.
Simply, download your Google Adwords campaign using your Adwords Editor (desktop tool) and without making any modifications, upload that CSV into your Adcenter account.
The only change you need to make is if your Adwords CSV is over 10,000 lines. It is pretty simple to break it up as long as you keep the headers the same.
Next... their support. I was having a hard time modifying all the adgroups that I was uploading so I called them and put me into this group where they do a lot of the changes for me.
Just goes to show what can happen by calling (not just adcenter... but any place). Post on this later...
Compare this to Google Adwords where even after spending $150k+ in a single month with them, they still have not given me my own representative. Crazy...
Needless to say, I really am going to push to try and use adcenter a lot more because although the traffic is less, I want to take advantage of their great support team who are willing to do a lot of the work for me.

sounds cool. i tried msn a few times with no luck but i do want to try them again…their interface is so horrible though
MSN conversions are good. How’s your experience with conversions?
I used to work with Microsoft adcenter when it first started, but immediately tended to fall off because my campaigns were less effective on this network
Certain things have much better conversions with MSN.
I was actually looking at importing some of my stuff to see how it does on adcenter. Is there a way to change all adgroups ‘target location’ because I don’t fancy going through x,xxx adgroups changing it all
I couldn’t agree more about Adcenter support being excellent. Their staff always exceeds my expectations and goes to great length to explain any problem or suggestions.
Compare that to the crap “support” Adwords offer – with nothing but canned responses, vague “suggestions”, and pointers to common TOS pages.
We have certain preconceived notions that prevent us from just picking up the phone and calling someone if there is a problem. You are right. Just doing that often can give us some pleasant surprises. With increasing competition, this is increasingly becoming the rule rather than the exception.
There’s a lot of money to be made with Adcenter. Their content network traffic is pretty high quality IMO. ‘Rich people’ use the sites in their content network. They also have a really great API and an entire section of their site dedicated to the API: http://adcentercommunity.com/blogs/api/
@Richard: Apply for the Adcenter Desktop tool Beta. It can do this.
Thanks Jon,
This is one of the few positive reviews on MSN Adcenter.
That is awesome. And Google does need to get their support together. They aren’t very helpful at all. With spending $150,000 in a month, you should certainly have your own representative, that is the least they could do.
Nice post. I’m having issues with the content network though. My kw’s get dissaproved because they aren’t related to my LP. WTF. This doesn’t happen with Adwords.. Any ideas what’s up?
You’ve got a great blog here, and I love your post. Thanks, keep it up!
Very nice information. Thanks for this.
whats your experience about this?
