Weightloss Challenge Update – Week 5

Well, I am really enjoying this weight loss / healthier life style so far! I continue to feel more energy, feel better about my health, and just overall enjoying this change. :)

So that's the good news, but I do have some bad news and that bad news is in the image below.

Weight Update

As you can see from my last weight loss post, I've actually gained a pound since the last weigh in. DOH!

You could win $100 bucks!

This is good news for you! First those who have or are going to enter the contest, if I fail to lose all 10 pounds, then you're in the running for an easy $100. There has not even been 5 people who have entered so if I don't make the amount and you think I will lose, then you are guaranteed to win.

My Workout

I was a bit discouraged by this weight gain so I worked out very hard on Wednesday morning with my friend Kanoa.

Thanks to Market Leverage for the cool shirt! :) They're a pretty big affiliate network with a lot of great offers!

Basically, we jumped rope for 2 minutes straight, jogged a quarter mile, jumped for 1 minute, another quarter mile, jumped another minute, jogged another quarter, and jumped for 30 seconds and then walked half of the quarter mile and sprinted for the last part. It was very difficult and I felt like I was going to throw up multiple times! hahaha!

After this we did about 10 minutes of ab exercises because that's the area I am trying to work on the most aside from general health.

      Hey, I’ve been following your blog for a while now, interesting stuff.

      Congrats on the whole weight loss stuff, hoping it goes well for you, I’ve been going to the gym for while now, trying to put on weight and lose body fat, seems counter intuitive, so far failed but I’ve seen a huge difference in the amount of weights I can lift etc.. It’s all about diet, I don’t do that too good.

      Keep up the good work :) .

    5. My plan is to drop 42 pounds by ASE in NY, I’m 2 weeks in and down 6 pounds so far.

      One of the biggest issues is just finding the time to exercise or to get out a do something, I’ve been so used to sitting all day in front of the computer, that it’s hard to just get up and do something. Now I am waking up earlier and doing some exercises before everyone in the house gets up.

      Just a comment about gaining a pound…. as long as you’ve been eating well, and have been exercising the 1 pound of weight gain, is not necessarily a bad thing. I know it’s bad in terms of you are not “losing” weight, but it is likely that you are now gaining muscle mass, which is the good thing I am talking about.
