So we only have some 20-some odd days until the competition between Tyler Cruz and I is over. If you're unfamiliar with the competition, basically Tyler and I set out to lose 10 lbs in 10 weeks. The loser, which is anyone who did not meet the goal has to pay $500 to bloggers who predicted that person would lose.

So sadly, this week I had a net loss of 0 pounds.

Last week I went from 186.5 to 184 which I was really happy about. But sadly, this week I hit a little bit of a stopping point.

Videos of Todays Workout

Today was a pretty intense work out day. First, we jumped rope for about a minute. After that we ran up and down the bleachers. Lastly, we ran a quarter mile.

We then did this 3 more times in a row. On the last lap around the track, we sprinted for a good majority of the track to change things up. I wanted to die. Hahaha. ;)

So that being said, things are feeling good.

Friday Workouts

On Friday, Kanoa (my friend), and I are going to do a light work out to help me lose those extra lbs and get in shape for my wedding which is later on this year. :)

I'm hoping that I can get Friday's into my schedules from now on so that I can work out more than just once per week.

    1. If you really want to win, jump in a sauna once a day. You will drop weight like mad.

      Hi, Jonathan.

You may want to throw kettlebells into your mix. They will ,melt fat, build muscle and most important they are a healthy addiction and fun. Search Youtube and there is a ton of excellent free videos

    3. Hey Johnathan,

0 pounds lost huh. I been working at it myself! I was doing 40 push ups a day now I’m up 60 which isn’t bad. Try switching up work out routines that may work. Anyhow, keep it up bro!

    4. Don’t fret, just keep working at and it will happen.

Your doing the exercises and running, which is awesome, but have you changed your diet at all?

No Sponsor shirt for this work out session? hehe

As long as you are also eating healthy.. its like I said on my other comment… it is likely that you are losing weight, but gaining muscle weight, which like i said before is natural. Unfortunately no help for your weight loss goal.

      Till then,

      Jean

It looks like you are making good progress on the weight loss. Even if you don’t lost much weight right away, you are on the right track. James makes a good point about the necessity of changing your diet. To really go after this goal you should consider revising your diet to limit the fats, sugars and carbs. As Jean said, you are likely adding more muscle weight. If you keep up the cardio and build endurance you should reach your 10lb goal. The trick is fitting all the workouts into your schedule. Good luck.

Hey Jonathan, I’d be more than happy to help you with some winning tips and diet advice to help speed up the process, if you could do the same for me online. Fair deal? ;)

    8. Haha running up and down the bleachers. I remember this “miracle mile” we had to do in high school, where we would run a lap on the track, and then go up and down every row in the bleachers. Then we would do another lap and another set of bleachers. Haha 4 laps and 4 sets of bleachers. I can tell you it was pretty tiring. Our bleachers were pretty long too… oh the joys of running.
