About 2 weeks ago after moving into the new office and working on a couple new campaigns, Jacob, a marketing guy here at Surge Marketing Inc. turns to me and says, "I wish there was a way in windows to have multiple copy and paste functions so that I could store more information in the clipboard."
After he mentioned it I went right to google and went through a few free programs.
After looking at a few, I found a program called Clipomatic. Basically, you copy items into the clipboard just like normal (Ctrl+c). Next to paste, you use Ctrl+Alt+V and it will show you a list of the last 10 things that were copied into the clipboard! Sweet!
Control+Alt+V got a little annoying to press so Jacob assigned one of those random buttons on the Logitech mouse that nobody uses to be the same as Ctrl+alt+v.
Clipomatic has become one of those programs that now has become something that is used a lot here and has saved a ton of time.
Now... What are some of your Time Saving Tips?!

Awesome, I was thinking about a tool like this because I usually have a couple of things in notepad so that I just have to press alt+tab to bring it up, hightlight it and paste that.
When you getting some pics of the new office up
Awesome.
The new office is still a bit of a mess because I spent a lot of time moving into it so I have to catch up with things a bit more and then clean and then I’ll get some pictures.

Cool. Finally more than one clip!
I’ve been using vim as a texteditor for almost everything. It is a beast at first, but when tamed, it will brew your coffee. Oh, and it has multiple buffers (aka internal clipboards) as well: Vim
does not work in windows vista
Odd. It works in both Vista x64 and 32 bit for me.
I use a program called Phrase Express that’s amazing. You can save more items than that to clip board BUT ALSO it does shorthand.
So if you have common responses you have to type for support, forums, emails or even directory submissions, just type a couple letters and it will type out the entire sentence or even a couple paragraphs for you.
I type 5em and it types my email address, 5blog types my long blog address and I have several shorthand commands that type out paragraphs of forum rules, welcome messages and answers common forum questions.
Phrase Express has a free version and is one program I can’t live without.
Hope this helps, Linda Buquet
Hey! Now that’s a cool program!
Thanks for the tip as well…
roboform – I’m still surprised how many people keep their passwords even in things like FF, whereas this carries them across multiple browsers.
Ultraedit – or any kind of text editor that allows for regular expressions and macros to modify large amounts of data
imacros – is a cool too which I used back in the day before Adcenter had the desktop tool. You can program it to automate any kind of repetitive web tasks. They have desktop versions or command-line, too. Makes automation easier for those who aren’t extremely savvy w/ the coding
rescuetime was a nice tool to help me identify areas where I was wasting too much time during the week. I realized email was out of control & found that cutting back on client interaction made them happier because I got more done.
mylifeorganized has been an awesome tool for helping prioritize and break down my own side of projects. Everyone has their favorite, but this is mine.
I’ll avoid the FF extensions I use daily because that is a whole other post.
Great input! I like imacros for sure.
Been using clipdiary.com for a while now. Love it.
Cool site. Thanks
Great tip. Thanks
Wow!!! This program is simple, but very effective! I love it
By the way…. I also use an Addon called “Copy All urls” and it uses a similar functionality, basicaly I can hit it, and all of the urls of the tabs i have opened will be copied into a list, I can also open up a bunch of websites at the same time with a list by just copy and pasting it!
Till then,
Jean
Cool! Thanks for the tip!
Thanks a lot. Even i wished a lot that there were more options to copy things. I never knew that there were softwares wich make this possible
Wow, that’s a great tip and something much more useful that I ever though it would be. I can’t beleive I’ve been missing out on this program. works 100% fine in Vista for me.
Whoever thought about the idea of making a program to allow multiple copy/paste is a genius. I never thought about that, but the idea of this program is so simple that millions of people could have thought about it. It is quite useful for anyone in general. I always thought about it from time to time that I wish I didn’t lose my previous copy+c info. Great find!
Good Post. I am forever having to toggle between pages to get things done. The only thing I thought to fix this issue for me was to obtain another screen and have a page on each screen. This program allows me to save some cash and get my stuff done more efficiently. Thanks!
Cool little tool. My favorite tool is the ctrl c and ctrl v, copy and paste baby!
My favorite tool is window+d and window+L decktop and log off
This will be a very useful tool gor me too. Thanks!
But just a reminder about being cautious with copy & paste tool, you can real this post here:
