I love family holidays.

This years thanksgiving went really great. It was our first thanksgiving at home and Maria (my wife) went all out in decorating and getting things prepared.

The day started out with sleeping in until 9am. That felt great. :)

Then I went down and baked some cinnamon rolls before family arrived at our house to cook. (We hosted, they cooked hehehe)

After that, family started to arrive. My sister surprised us with a loaf of bread in the shape of a turkey which I loved. We all ate hors d'oeuvres (pictured below) and then ate a huge thanksgiving dinner at 4:30.

After we ate lots of dessert and all in all had a great time.

Hope your thanksgiving was great too!

  1. By far the loaf of turkey is the coolest thing I have seen made out of food this year.

Very cool. I ate way to much on thanksgiving.

Thought I was going to explode!

  4. Looks like you had a great time. It doesn’t hurt that the Giants lost either. (Eagles fan here)

Anyway, that turkey bread thingie is very cool. Did your sis make that or buy that from somewhere?

  5. Yeah the turkey shaped bread is pretty cool. I’ll have to learn how to make something like that. We are the same way with out Thanksgiving….we don’t mind hosting, but we’d prefer other people do the cooking.

  7. That bread is really cool! What desserts did you guys have? The sweet sticky stuff at the end of a feast is what inevitably gets me the most excited!
