I am Engaged!

That’s right! On Saturday, May 2nd, I proposed to my girlfriend, Maria at 11:30 AM. She said, “Yes!”
A little about us:
Maria and I have been dating for just over 7 years now… “Highschool sweethearts” if you will. We met in Church. She had heard that I develop websites (which I did at the time) and she was wanting some help on her geocities web page. Hahaha. We exchanged contact information and almost never talked about geocities again.
Seven years of dating, high school gradations, and now college graduation (She graduates from UC Berkeley in a few weeks!), I figured it was now time to tie the knot. She is my best friend and I couldn’t picture myself with anyone else.
The Proposal:
I wanted to take some nice pictures with Maria so I bought her a nice Betsey Johnson dress and set a date for us to take some pictures. I hired my friend (who I also work out with), Kanoa, to take pictures.
The morning of the photos, it was rainy and cold. I was pretty annoyed, but convinced Maria to still take them with me. We went and started taking photos when a plane came flying by.

I hired a plane to fly by with the sign.
After she noticed the plane, I got down on one knee and popped the question.

She said, “YES!”
I had a load of other plans. I was planning on setting up a picnic where we would eat some really good sandwiches. BUT… because it was raining, we decided to go to her parents house, eat the picnic I had prepared there and announce it to them. It turned out really great. They were extremely happy to be a part of the day.
Following that, we went over to my parents house and announced the news. My parents were also very excited for us.
It was a great day and I consider myself one of the most blessed guys on the planet!
