I've had one of my wisdom teeth out under local anaesthetic and it was not a pleasant experience at all. It must rate as one of the most unpleasant experiences of my entire existence. The dentist practically had his foot on the headrest next to my head in order to lever the offending molar out.

I think with wisdom teeth the surgery usually goes smooth enough…the bad part is usually the first few days after when your gums are all swollen and sore. I remember being too sore to eat much. As for the laughing gas, I wish they hooked me up with that too. They only gave me a needle in my gums and that needle is pokey going in.
