Learn the techniques I used to make over $4,000,000 in affiliate commissions! Check out my Free Affiliate Marketing Guide and learn the "how to" for Facebook Ads, PPC Affiliate Marketing, PPV / CPV Affiliate Marketing, And Media Buying!

You'll know when someone has found a successful way to market something when they say they're going to test it and you never hear about it again. :)

I recently said, I would be testing some new ways of marketing and well... let's just say you wont be hearing about it again! ;)

Nah... I wont be that way. :P

Just an update, so far article marketing has been going very well for me. I know a few tricks that I've learned that have really helped me get more sales and such.

Here is a key tip for you newbie article marketers. DONT DIRECT LINK TO AN AFFILIATE OFFER. Post after post on digitalpoint is about how people will buy a .info domain and then link right from that domain to the offer.

Pre-selling almost always increases conversions; at least this is true in my experience. Always make a landing page. Lay out the benefits (not features), and it will show in your conversions.

Additionally, with article marketing, you cant expect to rank in the top 10 in google if you're targeting very broad keywords! I would never write an article about "web hosting" and try to see results! Why? Because there are 108,000,000 results for that keyword... Not gonna happen. Instead base your article on low hanging fruit keywords.

We learn in Pay per click that keywords called, "Long Tail Keywords" convert the best and bring in the best profit. A long tail keyword example would be cheap linux web hosting. That keyword is more prone to purchases rather than someone just researching.

How do I market articles?
This is the part I'm experimenting with. I have been playing with EzineArticles. I will soon try Go Articles and Article marketer.

There is also a load of information on article marketing on digital point forums.

  1. I tried articles in the past. PPC works best for me. Less work and easier to control the traffic.
