I know this eighty year old senior man named Ed. He is the most outgoing guy I have ever met and I was surprised to know that he was also Internet savvy. We communicate via email and he sends me pictures of his grandchildren and controversial articles that he thinks I should know about. He is about thirty years older than me, but he is very current and I learn a lot from him. He is a great friend and I look forward to his articles. I think senior citizens convert well too and are likely less web savvy than most so you can probably get away with more than usually. Actually my biggest fear has always been senior citizens falling pray to email scams.

I think that seniors are no different from other users. Some of them are friends with using computer and some are not. The percentage of the second ones surely is higher than in younger generations, but those who are already in web just try to fill their time.

Yes the seniors demographic is bound to grow quite a lot in the coming years. While more seniors are starting to use the internet, many will still have the same fears of making purchases online. Once they are more comfortable, they are likely to purchase many things online to avoid the trip to the store.

I worked on Grandparents.com about a decade ago. Even then, many seniors were jumping right into the internet with both feet.

Fast forward to today, seniors continue to be a steadily climbing demographic that cannot be dismissed.

I think it's great that older people are feeling more confident about using the internet…

We all know that learning new subjects keeps the mind young, and here's a way for older people without mobility to have the world at there finger tips…

I don't have any idea. Do seniors even know how to type? If so, I'd be surprised if I my see my grannie setting her facebook account.

Although I haven't seen my own 'granny' online – I've certainly come across enough of the elder generation with a 'computermabob' to recognize a trend.

Working online, you do come across some elder people – certainly enough to target for a campaign.
