Ups And Downs Can Be Tough
The toughest and best part of affiliate marketing is the ability to see exact profitability in any given day.
Some days you might be on cloud nine, others you might be down in the dumps. It can really take a toll on you if you let it get to you.
I see this effect especially in people who are just getting started. The more seasoned internet marketers tend to learn to not let this affect them as much.
For example, I have a close friend who recently within the last year and a half started working full time from home. It was interesting to see how much this affected him from an outside perspective.
One month he generated over $20,000 in revenue, quite an accomplishment for most standards! The next month he generated only $12,000 revenue and he was complaining, moping around, etc.
While he was still generating a great income online, to him it felt like a huge hit.
The main thing to remember in online marketing is that some months will be epicly great and some are going to be less great. The important thing to remember is to keep your head up and in the game.
For me, these last couple of months have been slower months in terms of revenue. It’s not because I’m working less, I’m actually working harder. I’ve generated over 6 figures revenue per month for every month of this year and in the 7 figures for the year, so I am certainly not complaining.
The main thing is to try and remember the good days and try to not to allow the bad days affect you and your performance.
