This is an update to THIS post.

In my post about how to win with yahoo search marketing, I showed you one of my bad campaigns. A campaign that had fallen victim to yahoo search marketing's cruel punishment for not fine tuning your campaigns. I downloaded that campaign, deleted it, and set it up again using better adgroups, better ad copy, and an updated landing page / pages.

I started the campaign the day after I posted the first post. So far here are the results.

YSM surge 2

As you can see, we still have the initial surge... but the surge doesnt stop. It does go down a bit, during which time I fine tune the campaign every day. Over time, I've been seeing an increase in quality score (QS) and such because I try for a 4% ctr. :) I'm not there yet, but it's raising every day.

And this, my friends, is the sign that you've correctly set up your Yahoo Search Marketing Campaign. :)

how much do you usually spend on offers..as in paying for PPC’s?

It totally depends on the campaign. Obviously the goal is to always be making a profit. Sometimes I can be making 300%+ profit, sometimes more, sometimes 100% profit, etc.

man, im scared to do this, however ima try it right the first time, design a great looking landing page as i design graphics for a living, and try to make everything clear and to the point. Should i start of with a 100% free campaign? or a paying offer? which would you suggest for my first time. Thanx

Thanks for the great posts. If you’re taking requests (ha, ha), I’d sure like to know what “fine tuning” is for you. You’re a huge expert at this and seeing what you do to fine tune something would be a huge value.
