Check out the Jon Fisher Competition!

October was a great month for me! It was the first month which I broke $1000 a day land mark. This was such a huge landmark for me. It was really a symbol to me of the things to come.

Among breaking the $1000 / day mark, it was also a record breaking sales month! :) After all is said and done, October will have grossed about $20,000
USD for my company. Wahoo. This is done mostly through affiliate marketing.

The downside to this month however was the profit margin. Normally I run anywhere from 40%-50% profit margins. This month I did A LOT of google adwords testing and as such lost about $1000 to testing. This reduced my profit margins down a bit but still it was more than I have made in previous months still... so no complaints there.

This next month, my goal is going to be $25,000 gross with a profit goal of 45% or more. This is actually going to be quite tough, but I know that it's possible. The main reason this is going to be tough is that I am going to be in LA for a little bit this month on a trip to the Dream center and disneyland! :)

As for my daily sales, my goal is going to be $1650 in 1 day. If I hit that, I'll be happy. Obviously all days cant be this good, but hitting days like that sure do motivate you to strive for more eh? ;)

Let this be inspiration to me and you, the reader. It is possible when you persevere. :)

Now, you say your company. Does that mean you have another person with you or are you just using that term as in your aff. marketing and calling your work your company.

Hi Jonathan,

Congratulations! As a reader of your blog and someone getting started with adwords, I would love to see more posts on how you do these things. Perhaps some examples of how and what you test in adwords and how you find your niches. I’ve read through your older posts, but still would like more. I dying for specifics so I can try things on my own–so if you have some time, you’ll have an eager reader. Thanks,

Eric

Awesome!!

Keep up the good work.

What is the best keyword conversion tracking program out there.

I still need something that can track which keywords are converting.

Jonathan Volk says 3rd November @ 11:35

I tried out affiliate radar.

I was very unhappy with the program and ended up canceling after just 1 day.

The main reason is that they dont support international campaigns (IE Yahoo search marketing uk campaigns) and you have to change every keyword when you could do this much better ways.

Personally, I’m much happier with my own tracking system. Once I get all the bugs worked out, I’ll be releasing it for people to use.

Congrats on a great month. Just remember testing does cost profit margin, but it’s money well spend. Next stop 50k/mo!

Thanks Chad for the encouragement! :)

It’s true it has shown to be well spent!
