Well here is what I used to effectively increase my google adsense income literally over night.
www.crazyegg.com - It's free and does a heck of a job. With crazyegg, you place a small code on the pages you want tracked. This code creates an image map showing you where all your users are clicking most. It's absolutely amazing.

That heat map of crazyegg.com is interesting, but beside the looks, it does the same thing Google Analytics content overlay does.
