Find a need, Fill it.

Perhaps the best advice I've been given in business is, "Find a need and fill it." Simple.

My version of this quote which applies to affiliate marketing is, "Find a desperate person and sell them the solution." (I just made that up on the spot but I like it! Hahaha.)

Really the best converting campaigns are going to come from people who are desperate for a solution. Better yet, find a person who is desperate about a problem that is private and sell them a solution.

Why do you think Viagra is one of the top searched terms on the internet? Or why do you think penis enlargement (never thought I put this word on my blog but there is a first for everything) is in your spam box every single day?

Millions of people every day are desperate for a solution. Question is... are you going to fulfill their need?

DISCLAIMER: I'm not telling you to get into the Viagra or penis enlargement markets. I don't ever plan on entering those markets myself at least.

Time and time again I look on digital point forums and other webmaster forums with people asking what websites they should start. The most common answer is, "whatever you enjoy doing! Start a website about that!"

To be honest, I disagree with that. If you're wanting to make money but your interest is spotted toads, you're not going to make money except a few cent adsense clicks which probably came from you "accidentally" clicking them.

Find a need, Fill it. That's the key to making money online.
