My style of networking is finding one of my AMs at the bar, making sure they have had a lot of drinks and then finding out a dirty secret that they didn't want to let out — that way I can use it next time there is a hot offer and I want that high payout

Haha, I actually just read Neil's post right before I came over here. Weird…

Anyways, I can see exactly why you are promoting this post on your blog. Neil does an excellent job explaining how to make the most of networking at a conference, as well as the importance of building personal relationships (something not a lot of people think about).

My favorite point of his was the 24 hour follow up. So many people forget to do this and then wonder why they've been forgotten! Hopefully after they read his post, they will realize why it is one of the most important parts of networking.
