You CAN Work Harder

Did you know that when you ask someone how work is going 40% of them say BUSY?! Well actually I just made that number up...

But have you noticed this desire (at least in the culture I live in), to always tell people how busy you are?

This is a mindset that I am increasingly trying to get away from.

See, what I noticed is that I used to always say how busy I was to people and I would make myself content with the number of hours I worked because I was "so busy" already.

Or in other cases, I'd sit at my office desk just waiting for things to happen... not being as efficient as I could.

After hiring an in house employee (vs. overseas), it's made me work a lot harder than normally. In fact, just yesterday, I got probably 2 days worth of work done myself and my employee did quite a lot as well!

The reason I was forced to work harder is because now I am not only having to further the business myself, but I having to set a goal of where I want to go and then utilize the employee I have, Jacob, to get where I need to go using his skills as best as I can.

It's been really good for me because whenever he comes, I realize how much harder I can actually work.
