Thanks for pointing this out. It is indeed funny, it happens every holiday, but not being an American, I didn't really think of Thanksgiving

Traffic and visitors is the most important word in this business. Also that day was the rest day for Google analytic and sitemeter.

it is a sub concious thing, like a reflex reaction. and more so in other not to repeat it and so that it does not happen to them. some people do it out of sympathy and shock, which slows you down.

I am am tired of other driver's slowing down to look at accidents when the road would otherwise be clear. How likely is it that they know any of the involved parties!!!

Jonathan it sounds like you need to turn that campaign off on Saturdays. This shows the importance of paying attention to trends caused by holidays or even the day of the week. When you know exactly when you are converting the best, you can take advantage of that by advertising more on t hose days and less on slower days.

Anyways happy thanks giving, naturally traffic would be low on Saturdays and sometimes Sundays due to less people being online or recovering from the weekend etc, including special holidays or public holidays have to be taken into consideration.

That's really great information to know. This is my first year blogging on Thanksgiving and I had noticed my traffic has been tapering down the last couple of days (mixed with the fact that I've been to busy to promote much either).

it's amazing how the longer you do this, the more trends you see and the more you can optimize.
