It seems that yesterday and today yahoo has begun reducing a bunch of minimum bid requirements.

Starting in the early PM yesterday and all the way to early this morning, I started getting email after email of "the minimum bid requirement on one or more of the keywords in your account _______ has recently decreased."

After checking with a few friends, it seems this is happening across the board.

What could be in store is a possibility of a yahoo update (if it hasn't already happened).

See the way Yahoo works is that they like to try and always play catch up with Google Adwords. But really, it seems for the past 6 months or so, they really have just been sitting there. So who knows... maybe an update on their side is a bit overdue?

It might be a good time to get into yahoo with what seems to be a time of reduced min bid prices. :)

Did you minimum bid prices get reduced recently?

  7. Yep, and it’s about time.

For the past few months, every once and a while, my bid prices would go UP for no reason. And it happened to all of my yahoo accounts at the same time.

So it’s like they randomly picked popular keywords and just jacked up the prices to try and add a little boost of revenue.
