You should have sold your site, it might have little profit to it instead of just closing it down. I know how it feels to closed once business , but its the name of the game. Sometimes you loose, sometimes lots of winning.Goodluck .

Time vs. Revenue. When I began really optimizing my sites for SEO, I started paying attention to the true value of my time. With PPC, my focus was on building and launching a profitable campaign. Once that site is up, it's fair game for PPC profits. Thinking about the long-term(weeks or months to see results), I was faced with the fact that most of my efforts weren't going to come to fruition within hours like PPC. Aside from what I could outsource, my hours spent working for my sites' long-term success became paramount. Many marketers want revenue from quote on quote, free advertising. That is a myth. The more you work, the better your results(or lack of, if you don't get busy), the more you begin to realize the true worth of your time. You soon realize that nothing is free, especially your time.

Maybe Jonathan didn't sell it because he had reasons for it, Jonathan is a smart guy, so I am sure there is a reason why he opted not to sell it.

Till then,

Jonathan, its same here. I think you have given a splendid example and I am really impressed. Those who know how to handle the market while doing any business can make profit always versus time spent; Making profit versus time is not so easy task, that can be achieved only by those who deal just well.

The one thing I realize is that many people want to make money online and then they blow it when in reality they should be investing it for more returns.

I'd like to personally hear your take on Social Lending as a method of investing money to make a return if possible Jonathan. Social lending is becoming a big hit in the internet world today if you ask me.

Sometimes it does get tiresome. Well, at least you have good work ethics. I have to cut back on some of this stuff too due to the fact of my own personal life responsibilities. Keep the important things going and let the flap go.

Jonathan I have similar problems, as I'm sure a lot of affiliate marketers do. You only have so much time in the day, but you want to get a million things done. Prioritizing all of those projects is very tough. It can be difficult to estimate which has the most potential. I have numerous websites, but I recently decided to leave most on autopilot and focus on the 2 or 3 sites that can make the most money. Then once I get some money coming in, I can revisit those less profitable sites.

Even worse is when you start taking on "favours for friends". I made the stupid mistake of agreeing to develop a site for free, as a favour, in exchange for a share of profits.

It's pretty damn annoying to spend time with a site that isn't ultimately yours. I'm gonna be a lot more careful with what I agree to in future.

There's also the hassle of people not quite understanding that even though I work at home, I don't want to have to wait around somewhere to pick up their fucking Amazon order. Ahh, busy times.
