New year... New blog design. I wanted something fresh for the new year since I have had the same design for over a year now.

The last design, I found a template I liked and modified the heck out of it. This template however was done by Unique Blog Designs.

Their services are quick and they have great customer service. :) I think they have done a terrific job giving my blog a much needed facelift.

Changes:
I am going to be doing a "Featured Money Maker Of The Month." I might change it to bi-weekly but I couldn't really think of a name that sounded OK. In this featured money maker, I will be going over how you can make money with the featured network, program, etc.

I also plan to use twitter a bit more for updates of blog posts, interesting things that happen to me and more. So be sure to follow my twitter at: Twitter.com/jonathanvolk

Additionally, I am removing my reviewme account and will no longer do paid reviews for Affiliate networks. I will still do reviews direct through me (more information on the advertising page) however I will only review something if I 100% have used and understand your business and product... and like it.

And Last but certainly not least, I decided to add a newsletter. This newsletter will be mostly for newbies. I will be putting together a series of auto responders that send you previous posts that will help you to learn how to make money online. Best of all... it's free.

So that being said, I hope you all enjoy the JonathanVolk blog in 2009! :)

all these mmo blogs are starting to look the same.

s’ok though. its content that matters.

Hey man – generally I like it (I assume there are a few things you’re still tweaking) but what’s with the white fuzz coming off the header image? It looks like my monitor is dusty… But I guess that’s just a little thing. Overall, well done.

      Welcome to shoemoney.com

    4. Dave says:

Looks like a mix of John Chow and ShoeMoney. These UBD designs are not very good imo. Not the worst, but sorta unprofessional looking. As somebody mentioned though, content is king.

    5. Keith says:

It looks nice, but a good majority of UBD’s themes look exactly the same. Not a big fan of their work. They really need to offer something unique or people are going to get tired of it.

    6. AffPortal says:

I like it Volk. Good job man.

    7. Tip Jar says:

Love the new layout, looks updated and better. UBD always does a killer job–

    8. Skip says:

meh, looks like ShoeMoney.com. Time for a redesign.

    9. nick says:

Unique Blog Designs all look the same. Now it looks like every other mmo blog. I say ask for your money back because it is not very unique and the workmanship kinda sucks.

Kinda unprofessional looking.. Look at the gradient on your ‘JV’ shield logo thing.. It looks like a bitmap!

But I do enjoy your content.

    10. Looks great man, I’m going to talk to Nate soon and get my own design going.

    11. yea pretty much looks like the rest of the blogs designed by UBD. still nice though.

    12. Kris says:

Looks good man! I want to take the plunge but I’m afraid I won’t like what they do… Although every design I’ve seen from UBD looks great!

    13. It has been a while since I have visited. The site looks nice! I must have missed the memo on getting a new design, seems like every blog I have went to today got a new skin. Nice to see things are going well!

jesus do these guys at UBD just edit one template and call it fucking quits?

they could have at least changed the color palette. welcome to shoemoney.com / johnchow.com version 3.0

lame. hope you didn’t pay too much for this! :)

    15. Tip Jar says:

Looks great! A nice fresh change, UBD always does an awesome job

    16. They designed is how I wanted it which was similar to my old blog style but just with better colors, threaded comments, etc. :)

    17. game-girl says:

I am glad to hear about newsletter which is quite free.Besides your blog style.Nice to have a good example to study.

    18. Kaudo says:

There are some annoying details you should require to be fixed, like the right vertical line in the search box that is not continued in the ads box, the “read more” that renders in the bubble picture of about you box instead of at its bottom (in Firefox) or at the bottom but… simply look at it (in IE), the A4D ad which is above every post in every category (29 ads on one page is too much, really), these are details that could be ignored with a free or self-made template but not if provided by established professionals.
The major problem with UBD is that their themes are not unique at all you spot almost immediately it is their work as they are very similar to each other.
The comments should be fixed as well as the posts state like 18 or 24 comments but if you click them only 8 or 4 are shown seems there is some problem in the script. I don´t want to hurt you anyhow, Jon, these details could be overlooked providing that you made the skin yourself but when you pay for it you should require a good work for your money. Very amateurish, I am sorry…

    19. ppc.bz says:

This design has nothing on ppc.bz

    20. Tim says:

Your header makes me think my screen is dirty. I keep on trying to wipe off the phantom grime. I’m not crazy… I swear.

    21. arrirmSox says:

stimulating and communicative, but would make something more on this topic?

    22. kaudo says:

Hello, Jon, seems that all problems I complained about lately are gone. I hope you didn´t give UBD a dime to fix them :-)
