My excuse is pretty simple… I don’t have the time too. Might not sound like a legitimate excuse but I try to prioritize my time but unfortunately have little time working on landing pages.

I don’t make my own pages because I can’t do design at all! I take templates from free sites for crap like lawn care and try and turn them into LPs for offers. Sometimes they turn out alright but then sometimes I’ll have a huge box (or lawn mower) in the hero image spot. I can do basic editing in Dreamweaver but anything with Photoshop is Greek.

Because the Indian/Pakistani (and the others on elance and co) doesn’t understand what the hell I want – even when I send them video explanations and pictures with numbers next to each section.

Yeah, it takes me 10 hours to make a decent looking landing page. If I can buy one for $10, it means that my work is worth $1 an hour.
Taking into consideration that I tend to change the pages to test conversions, its not really worth the time. 
My excuse: I’m starting my biz next week and wating for product form manufacture. I don’t have website yet!
If I designed my own landing page, it’d be so ugly that a rep from Google would come to my office to give me a real Google Slap!

The real reason I don’t create my own landing pages is that I’m far too lazy too make the time at the expense of my other ‘work’, even though in the long run the landing pages have exponentially higher potential than any of the client work I do.
Ok, but if I have to make up a reason, it would have to be something about having a rare condition whereby I’m only able to type using my nose, and by the time I’m done creating a landing page the offer no longer exists.

I’m busy with school, work, homework and to take my mind off all of that, video games. I make pages but I’ve not finished the one I’ve been “working” on for a couple weeks.
This might be a great chance to find out the creative abilities. Creativity is a gift from the GOD. Better hurry up to work this out. This is a great opportunity I guess

I stopped making landing pages a while ago because every time I would make one a pirate would swoop in and steal it. Once the pirates finally stopped, they kept being taken by robots… and when I finally got rid of the robots the Nijas came and I just gave up all hope.

I know very little html/programming at all.. find it quite costly to keep hiring ppl to make websites/templates for me..
When I try to complete on myself I find it is so time consuming between breaking up a fight in my kitchen, or try to upload something via ftp while cooking spaghetti sauce!!!

Well I want those LPs because a busy little entrepreneur; senior college year, garage band and hittin’ the gym 3 times a week to keep the extra pounds off (youth, energy and six packs don’t last forever). So I have to outsource design. I do the coding and scripting myself because that’s what I love doing.
‘Nuff said.
I smoke so much weed that everything is sooo extremely colorful. If I look at a basic color like blue I also see green, red, purple, white and yellow. That’s why I can’t design a Template by my own.
Additional I tried to hit on a nice girl and was pretty successfull … until her boyfriend, a massive bodybuilder, punched me in the face. Now I got a shiner and can’t really see what I’m doing in Photoshop and Adobe Flash.
Because the FDA requires that I put health warnings on my landings pages that state “Viewing this Landing Page may cause temporary blindness and in some cases even death!”
I don’t need no LP’s. I make my own that convert $$

I knew this is coming and i am winning…
I would like to try these landing pages because I can’t seem to get the right design for mine. I went to graphic designer school so I know mine are good but I’d like to see what these so called “pros” can come up with and see if they can really do better than mine. I’m also wondering why I’m not getting any sales…I think people call them conversions? I’ve done everything all the others have done but I’m only getting people emailing me asking if I can draw pictures of their grandma too…not sure what that means. But I’m tired of not getting any conversions with my landing pages and about to swallow my pride and try out someone elses designs (even though I’m highly trained in graphic design techniques and strategies).
Who knows, maybe LPDesigner will ask me to join their team after they get a look at my work and running landing pages.
Here is my latest landing page right before I put it live a week ago. Already 44,654 impressions 100,349 clicks and still waiting for the sales to add up (they are delayed for a few days right?)
I may be willing to sell this page for the right price too

I hired 3 different affiliate LP designers. One off Wicked Fire and others googling around. Most did not deliver and one i paid way too much in advance and didn’t get the job done or a refund.
It looks like i’m better off with a template and doing it in house again.

I know there are a lot of copiers out there but I’m ashamed that you stole my landing page off my tinypic link and are probably using it right now. That is illegal and you will hear from my laywer. please send me your phone number and address so I can give it to my laywer. And if I catch you selling my design I will get two laywers to really sue you hard!

I have extensive experience in building, managing and growing substantial high dollar figure online marketing campaigns from years & years of working for online marketing companies. You say “dude, you should not win then with all that wonderful experience!” But, I interrupt you to further explain that I worked in account management and analysis type positions – I never did any creative/graphic work. So, I solely lack those “much needed and prized” creative skills. Plus, I have been laid off, cannot find a job and am starting up my own company trying to make my own magic happen – much like you have done!
Yet, I am not a clear waste of space as a human. I clearly have those management and optimization skills necessary skills to build, grow and optimize a campaign to its max potential. The missing piece is the landing pages creative. If someone like me is able to utilize this “LP Designer” package and build a massive high dollar volume campaign then it will clearly show the company has a tremendous Landing Page product that people should buy…cuz, it will have been proven to be the “secret to online success”. If I win, I will make those landing pages sing the high notes!!
Lastly, imagine how much that will be worth to the company to use in their promotions when it can clearly show that when used properly, their product makes a “huge” difference! Further, I will be back to buy more and more packages and will be a grateful customer going forward!! Oh, plus, since I am starting up my own business (just a one man show) in this sh*tty economy, I need a break! And, I am just “po” – I can even afford the other “..or”.

At this moment I’m more in a period of research for new projects I want to do. It’s an important moment because I like to be convinced of what I’m doing. I try to justify everything I do to myself.

zero photoshop skills + lazyness = no landing pages
Because I am OCD (also known as “obsessive-compulsive disorder” or “Orribly Crappy Designer”) it takes me forever to finish my landing pages. For instance, I’m still working on a landing page I started 7 years ago. It was for a product called the iPod. In a way, I’m glad I never posted it, because I don’t think that thing has a CHANCE of succeeding…

I have never made my own landing pages because I have zero artistic and creative talent when it comes to visuals, the last time I made stick figures my 4 year old laughed at them and then scribbled all over them with his crayon, saying they were “bad”
1) I don’t speak Html.
2) If I spent the time to make my own landing pages, I’d never get anything else done.
3) I can’t draw a straight line with a RULER.
4) I don’t trust MY sense of style. I know what I like, but I don’t know what OTHERS like. It’s a risk to spend hours making my own because “I” get in the way.
5) When I want pancakes, I go to IHOP. When I want heart surgery, I go to a cardiologist. When I want landing pages, I go to LPDesigner.
Well, I don’t make my own landing pages mainly due to the SLAP. Not the Google Slap………but the slap I would get in the face if you actually saw the cr@p landing page that would come from my brain. I honestly don’t even know what I’m thinking sometimes.
Because other more talented people can make better landing pages than I ever could!
