The most commonly neglected aspect of affiliate marketing is optimization of the landing page and tracking. Today, we will talk about optimization of your landing page.

What I have found to be more and more true is the necessity for making changes to your page constantly. Many newbies make a page, hit some profit, and are happy. Mention to them that they need to change something and they get white in the face because they don't want to break their seemingly well oiled machine.

You cannot be scared to modify your page.

You make one small change at a time, week by week, or if you have enough traffic, day by day. Don't be afraid, small changes usually never have a MASSIVE impact on conversion rate.

You're not going to change a sentence and then see 0 sales after having seen hundreds the day before. The way you do see significant change is when you make one change, find which converts better and then make another change on that page. Rinse and repeat. Simple enough right?

    1. How do you keep track of those minor changes that you make on your pages? I don’t mean real split testing but week after week tweaking little things. Nowadays we have so many pages and posts that we need to monitor. Do you know if there is any software available for this (besides excel)?

I think changes are a good thing going into the new year. If you do the same things as you did last year, you will fall behind or keep on the same pace. You need to throw out what you did wrong and make the necessary changes.

      Hi Jon,
Thanks for the gentle nudge, I will make testing and optimizing a top priority.
Q1: Is there a specific lp design or template you use so that changes can be tweaked.
Q2:Same as Vincent, how do u keep track of the different versions of the LP and their respective outcome.

      Thanks
      Vijay

This post is such good timing for me. I just got started in PPC marketing, and I have one campaign running well right now. However, I feel like my landing page could be better, but I’m, well I was, afraid to change it. But, I’ll go ahead and make one small change at a time now and keep tracking. Good post!

If I already making good money, there is no need to change. Unless, I get greedy or want to reach some new height.

I think the blogger knows himself when there is the right time for changes.

I take heart from your post. I however believe the old maxim “Why fix it, if it aint broke?” I shall settle my blog down and then change to a more relevant one.
