I've been a big advocate of Firefox for a while now mainly because it really did seem to work better.
Well, today as I mentioned the new Google Chrome was released and I instantly fell in love with this browser. It seems loads faster, gives me more viewing real estate and just looks way better.
So today, after about 20 minutes of using Chrome, I decided to delete my Firefox icon and replace it with a good ol' Chrome icon.
I love how the tabs are at the top... I love the new tab feature... I love the speed (the most)... I love the incognito window (deletes history and cookies after you close it)... I love that the search and url bar are the same (no more need for google toolbar)... I love that there is no menus (clean)... I love the way it downloads files... I love the status bar.
Basically, there is not one thing I don't like about the new Chrome browser except for the fact that Azoogle has not come out with a toolbar for it yet... I loved having the AzoogleAds toolbar so that I could see my revenue, EPC, conversion rate, etc while browsing at all times. It was great. I am hoping that soon enough they'll make a new version for Chrome.

You do know that nearly every one of these features can be setup in Firefox?
yea but you have to set it up and that’s a pain!

Saw your post once I got connected. Did you know that Google just broke The Firefox SEO ranking capabilities? In fact none of my ranking tools are working for Google. Evidently, Google wants it’s social networking plans to include not only your YouTube habits, but also they want to target ads based on the social sites you visit… hmmm another pre-Christmas Google-slap to the Affiliates out there?

Google does not want us to know HOW their social features affect search rankings.
Why? Because they WILL be the basis for their new search algorithms.
Google is already integrating your Google profile with local search.
Google is already integrating YouTube with your Google profile.
We already know that Google has integrated your Google Reader, Gmail, a Friends list and your profile.
Google will know everything about us, what we like and be able to deliver bullseye advertising everytime.

I have it installed but haven’t used it yet. Will check it out. Forget the Azoogle Toolbar, get the universal Toolbar202 once the new stats feature is added (pending release) LOL ^_~
I would use it if I could figure out how to use the Google toolbar with it. That is where I keep my bookmarks… and I like to see different site’s PR.

The status bar is a transparent bar that shows up only when you need it…
The new tabs opens up and shows a panel of previously viewed sites… etc
You have to try it to understand really.
Just tried it out. Very slick. I’ll be sticking with Firefox the add-ons I have are much more valuable to me than anything else.

@Mal: I have google desktop so that happened years ago.
I use Chrome for 12 hours now and i love it besides few glitches. Anyway i hope Firefox will take most of their ideas and adapt it for FF but i will stay w/ Chrome for now.

I have to admit, I like it a lot.
I was on the way home from work when the press conference was happening, reading Matt Cutts live blog updates on my iPhone before getting in the house, saying hello to the wife (briefly) and then straight on the computer to give it a whirl.. it’s very neat, mainly for the reasons that you mentioned (though am slightly worried about the implications of affiliate marketing if incognito gets used more..) BUT I won’t be removing Firefox just yet – things like the Web Developer Toolbar are fantastic for bug testing my sites and the SEO tools (SEOQuake, etc) can be useful.
Look forward to seeing how it develops over the next few months, especially with the fact it’s opensource

I don’t like showing my previously viewed sites. Which is why I don’t have FF3.0, but 2.x – I guess if you like all that showy crap then it’s perfect for you, but then you might as well have a Mac IMO
“deletes history and cookies after you close it”… I’m surprised you like that feature as those cookies are rather important to us.

Considering that FF3 is a pile of garbage compared to FF2 and IE, obviously, is a joke, Google might have a shot with Chrome.
That doesn’t make it any less lousy.
Good thing us Mac users have the world’s finest browser preinstalled on our machines.

you love how after you close the window the cookies are deleted?
How about the fact that most affiliate offers etc are tracked by cookies? This means that you could be missing out on a lot of money because of that feature.

I think Chrome is cool, but since I won’t go back to PC just to use it, I will stick with FF until there is a Mac version to try.
