What some people don't realize when they're starting out is that Facebook campaigns sometimes require a lot more trial and error than a standard adwords campaign. It's very similar to running a print or tv/radio campaign. Not every campaign is going to pay off, but the ones that do are going to make up for the "duds". Of course once you get some experience under your belt and get a feel for what works with your particular niche it gets a lot easier.

Jonathan, I think you definitely gave people the right resources to plan their facebook ads, but I am seeing more and more people asking for advice on getting facebook ads approved. I have actually been considering writing a guide specifically pertaining to ad approval myself, but I never seem to find the time.

No matter what demos, gender, keywords, etc I choose, FB always suggest me to start bidding at 0.65 or more. And if I start out at 0.25 cents, I hardly get any impressions or none at all. I start my budget low, but like you said, if you start at a high bid, you can't later on bid lower. So how do you get lower bids?
