Would love to see some legal action on this. Looks like a cruddy site with no real earned reputation pretending to be reputable so they can use their fake street cred to gain real cred and harass a very well known and reputable site. They really need smacked around a bit. After reading some of their posts, they remind me of adolescents with wounded pride on some gamer forum.

You earned your good rep Jonathan. I really don't think they earned anything close to good rep. Looks like they faked it long enough to convince someone worth convincing (Facebook). They need to get knocked down a peg or forty.

If you use a Mac, I highly recommend backing up to Amazon S3 using Arq or a similar app. Rock solid.

I have tried Jungle Disk but it took so long (days) to upload to Amazon S3 that eventually an error developed and I had to abandon it. Even deleting the erroneous files from the S3 was a pain…
Has anybody else using Jungle Disk experienced slow data transfer or was it just my connection?

I use dropbox combined with SyncToy (free). SyncToy automatically backs up all my folders to dropbox every night, so I have never have to worry. I have a couple computers (at home and in the cloud), so all the data gets combined to my one dropbox account. Also have my important websites (that run on wordpress) back up to my dropbox account on a weekly basis (there is a free plugin for this).

As safe measure, I then have my entire dropbox account backed up to a local hard drive in my house.

I got burned a couple months ago, but with my new system everything is automatic and has already saved me once!
