Writing Goals

When you have your own business it's important for you to set goals for yourself.

Normally, before I start a day, I write out a list of goals I want to get done that day. I also have been journaling on my computer a list of campaigns that I know are verified money makers that I want to get into. This way, during the down or slower times, I have a huge list of things that I can use to generate more income. :)

I bring this up because in order to be a successful affiliate marketing, goals are very important!

Here's a little template that I use when I add to my list of campaigns to do.
- Niche: ______________
- Offer: ______________ (Offer number, etc)
- Sample website: ___________________ (include screenshot)
- Potential Earnings (Goal): ___________________ (Find this from an affiliate manager and ask what their top affiliate is doing in terms of revenue.)
- Marketing Strategies: (PPC, SEO, Article Marketing, etc)
- Attempted strategies: (If I've tried anything)
- Notes:

When you get ideas, it's important to write those ideas out so you dont forget and it's fresh in your memory.

    1. This is a good tip to enhance productivity. Personally, my mind wonders. I get too many ideas, and when there is downtime, I tend to discover new things, and forget about the ones I already thought of. With a list of goals like this (that I have been doing for the past 4 months), when there is downtime, I can easily concentrate on what’s immediately important.

Great idea, I’m just starting to realize how important goals really are. For so long, I’ve just had big ideas, but they never went very far because I was just thinking of the big picture. Having a timetable, with tasks and deadlines, I’m sure will be super motivating, and help make real progress that I can see on paper. Good mini template :)

I think working to a schedule/goal list works wonders. Especially if you have the potential earnings as that will always give you the push to get started.

I find it hard getting the time to do everything though. Got my finger in too many pies as they say :P
