So the big question about which service is best for you? Today there are more and more services popping up that offer you training, but which sites are of the best value for you?

I believe that the value of a service depends greatly on the actual user. For some users one service may be just what they needed while others need something completely different.

So that being said I've decided to go into two of the more commonly mentioned training programs in the market today. The first is the newly released UberCamp.

UberCamp is a new service released by Super affiliate Paul Bourque. Although the new service has received a lot of criticism, every person who has criticized UberCamp has not been a part of the service.

So this is probably the first actual review you're going to see of Ubercamp of a person that actually is using the service. (Go figure...)

First of all, the forum started out just a few days ago so I didn't expect it to be full of a lot of material but what do you know, it's actually filling up fairly quickly.

So far there is a handful of very active members and many have provided some tips that for most people would be very helpful. You'll see some pretty big names in the forum such as Chad from CDFNetworks, Ian from IanFernando, and even some dude named Jonathan Volk (hahaha).

As far as the number of posts go, there are already 172 posts (as of right now) and most are relating to PPC and affiliate marketing. Neat.

The neat part about the forum so far has been that some guys have openly posted some tips which I consider to be in my "do not share" file. Those are the tips you won't ever see on here because I don't want to ruin it's effectiveness. It would be equivalent of posting about Craigslist spamming... once it got out, it was so much harder to do (I hope the guy who let that out kicks himself daily) and almost lost it's value.

As I mentioned before, one service may be great for one person and not so great for another. I honestly believe UberCamp is for one type of person: The PPC Affiliate marketer who is earning anywhere from high $xx to $xxx per day. This type of forum WILL most likely help you get past that 4 figure mark over time and I can say that with 100% honesty.

I do not believe Ubercamp is for you if:

  • You've never created a PPC Campaign before.
  • You've never created a profitable campaign.
  • You've never created a landing page (meaning you only direct link).

In otherwords, Ubercamp is not for the pay per click affiliate newbies. BUT what do you do if you're a newbie or are on tighter budget? $200 per month certainly isn't cheap and if it comes down to advertising or going with Ubercamp, I'd say you choose advertising.

I also have been invited to check out PPC-Coach.

Wow! PPC Coach really has a lot to offer. First you get a forum where the owner, often referred to as "coach" answers just about every single question I saw if not answered first by someone else. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of question about pay per click marketing.

PPC-Coach also has a ton of tools, videos, and more. Do you need to learn how to setup a campaign in yahoo? They have videos for that! Do you need to learn to setup an adwords campaign? They have videos for that. Etc.

So... What's the main difference between PPC Coach and UberCamp?

I'd say there are a few main differences.

First, PPC Coach isn't 100% focused on affiliate marketing. If you're looking to learn PPC marketing the right way but are not interested in affiliate marketing, PPC Coach is a great choice for you. At around $50 bucks a month, it's definitely an amazing deal and you will walk away knowing more about PPC.

Secondly, PPC Coach is mostly full of "newer" marketing guys. The coach and some of the more seasoned members do have a lot to offer, the place is mostly for the PPC newbies.

Lastly, PPC Coach offers a loooooooooot more in terms of videos and content you can view at your own pace but is also geared more towards those who are starting off.

So while I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend PPC Coach if you're just starting off, it's not for those who are already making a decent living (mid $xxx/day and up as a rough estimation).

One last thing that was really neat about PPC Coach is that tracking script he provides with the membership. If you've ever tried setting up Prosper202, this script is similar to that and provides a similar keyword tracking type tracking. Awesome.

So to wrap all this up, PPC Coach is awesome and worth the money for those starting out in PPC and affiliate marketing. You'll really learn everything you need in order to set up a successful ppc campaign and have access to ask any number of question on the forums there.

Ubercamp is more for affiliates who are already a bit established but can't seem to push past into that next level.

Both are valuable services but each for a certain type of person. :)

  1. So where do you place Click Consultants that you wrote about a few weeks back?

Excellent post. I was going to post something like this but you beat me to it. For the newbies I’m giving away my commission for you to check out ppc coach. I started as a real newbie and Volk is right, that is the place for the guy starting out.

  3. You forgot option C – Neither…

Not sure why sharing tips in the “do not share” file is a good thing. It will just piss off all the other affiliates who worked hard, tested, and maybe even lost money trying to figure out those tips. Now they are being ruined by people just giving them away.

Furthermore, why should Paul get the money for other guys sharing secrets tips. Those guys should get paid for sharing their own secrets not Paul. Perhaps Paul is giving them money to share their secrets so he can provide value to his users and shut up critics? But that’s just speculation…

I have nothing against Paul as a person, in fact, I used to learn tons from his blog when i first started. But charging for knowledge that is already free just seems to go against what i thought he was all about.

What if people charged him for every good tip they gave him along the way? I have a hard time believing that he is teaching stuff that only he thought of. He is likely just sharing what he learned from other affiliates. But he’s charging for it and taking advantage of his “fans”…

Mr. Volk. I have to correct you on something regarding PPC Coach. You said, “First, PPC Coach isn’t 100% focused on affiliate marketing.”. I strongly disagree. And I challenge you to tell me what area of affiliate marketing they don’t cover. They offer videos, content, ppc coaching, they offer affiliate programs as well, the only part of affiliate marketing that they’re missing is SEO coaching, and I hear that’s getting ready to change…

I’ve also seen them giving out keywords to certain niches.

  5. Mr. Overvold: I was actually right when I said it wasn’t FOCUSED 100% on affiliate marketing. :) They focus on PPC in general. Hopefully you can understand the difference.

  6. Richard Overvold says:

Mr Volk. Yeah, I see the difference in what you’re saying, but they still cover 100% of everything you need for affiliate marketing. :)

The wording makes it seem to the “norm” that PPC Coach doesn’t give you everything you need, when in fact they do. It threw me when I first read it. ;)

  7. I concur 100%. They do cover everything you need and I should have made that clearer. Thanks bud.

  8. Richard Overvold says:

Not a problem. Great blog you have here. Keep up the good work, and good luck on your 2008 goal.

  9. Jon says:

    All i can say is.

  10. joe says:

Good review. So does Paul really spill the beans on his campaigns as I believe he said he would do in the program? Seems if he did that he would consent to losing all profitability on that campaign.

  11. Joe: It seems to me that you’re asking if he gives you his campaigns on a silver platter (I could be wrong). If that’s the question, the answer is obviously no.

That’s not what the forum is for.

    Thanks,
    Jony

  12. Joe says:

Hey Jon. I just mean this: “I’ll share all my keywords, landing pages, promotion types, and research used on a campaign. You’ll be able to make suggestions and ask why I did certain things. You can even copy the campaign if you want; or just copy the techniques.”

  13. The content at PPC Coach is great but it was the tools that did it for me. Seriously, I’d pay more than the $50/month just for the tools. If it was my site I’d be charging $200/month like Paul:)

  14. Richard Overvold says:

If you want to get technical about it. The tools offered at PPC Coach don’t have a pricetag attached to them. Ask some of the biggest affiliates on the net to give away their tools at even $100k package deal. They’ll tell you to get lost. These tools are given at a bargain price no matter how much PPC Coach charges.

  15. @Joe: Paul does some campaigns that he does give everything to as he does them. :)

  16. nickycakes says:

The tools at ppc coach, as mentioned earlier, make it a clearly superior service, even for the seasoned AM. Nobody with $200 a month to spare has anything to learn from uberaffiliate. The dude is not an expert at anything.

  20. WayneDog says:

I have seen both ppc coach and ubercamp(through someone else’s subscription) and ppc coach is a much better resource for both beginners as well as experienced affiliate marketers. PPC-Coach has at least 10 times the amount of content, great tools, and the content is simply better. There is not much on ubercamp besides a case study which he isn’t even doing properly and isn’t showing everything he should be as he is holding back some info from that case study. A major waste of $200 a month if you ask me. Save yourself $150 a month and get PPC-Coach if you are looking for a good resource. You will not only save $150 every month but you will have a superior resource as well.

  21. PPC Coach definitely rocks. The tools are invaluable and the way he reveals a new method each month keeps you from getting flustered and distracted.
