Learn the techniques I used to make over $4,000,000 in affiliate commissions! Check out my Free Affiliate Marketing Guide and learn the "how to" for Facebook Ads, PPC Affiliate Marketing, PPV / CPV Affiliate Marketing, And Media Buying!

It can be very hard at times to stay current with the latest and greatest websites.

It seems like just yesterday myspace came online and became popular. I remember asking a friend, "Are you on this new site, Myspace? It's kinda like Xanga..."

Now, there is facebook and twitter.

Twitter is all the rage today and as an internet marketer, it is your job to take full advantage of the latest crazes; it's your job to stay current. Traffic source never matters in internet marketing. It's all about whether or not it makes you cash or not!

After reading reports on Shoemoney and other countless sites about twitter being their second biggest traffic source, it would make ZERO sense for you to NOT be on twitter and using it as a marketing / traffic source.

No matter what topic, there is such a huge user base that you will be able to garner some traffic from it, free traffic. :)

When the next big website comes out, I encourage you to sign up for that as well! Utilize every traffic source possible!

You are exactly right. Keep up with the times so you’re not left behind.

    3. Yeah, reasonable advice

    4. This is good advice for stying current as now adays twitter and facbook are important, people are more concentrating on them as they are useful too.

I try to sign up for any “invite only/beta test” sites I can find to try to get in on the ground floor…. best place to look for these invites are on blogs (the new sites want traffic so they give away invites to blog owners with lots of traffic who will in turn give the invites to their readers)….. this is just another reason to stay current with your blogroll =)

True dat. Speaking of, does anyone have links to specific posts about making money with Twitter? I know I’ve seen a few out there (can’t remember where they are now) but may be it would be helpful to use this as a forum and post a few.

    7. Kim says:

I think this is pretty much essential to online marketing. You won’t be able to continue making money off of old news.

    8. Yeah signing up to every crappy social site that comes along sounds like a great plan.

Sometimes its difficult to keep yourself updated on all of the novelties in the world, in the country, in your state, and even in your own home! I remember the days when zanga was popular, now no one speaks of it. Myspace is having dwindling popularity as well. Yes, twitter is the new “it” of the internet world. When it comes to these kinds of things, you really have to jump on the bandwagon, and be prepared to jump on another one as soon as the time comes

      Till then,

      Jean

Extremely few people can make money from Twitter. Shoemoney maybe…. but only with many thousand followers can an average marketer do so.

More people quite Twitter every month than join.

    11. Pheak Tol says:

I used to have a xanga account as well, i had a good number of visitors and commenters – but mainly little teenie boppers though. but then came the myspace sensation and now facebook in my opinion is taking the running along with twitter being not far behind.

if we dont stay current then we have another reason to lose.

    12. I am twitter with my 6k followers , it not really happening for me, not a big source for traffic. I need to learn the art of using twitter effectively.

    13. shaunjudy says:

I use twitter myself but I am still trying to learn how to make it my effective for me.

    14. Twitter is the best so far. You are right about gaining traffic from them, but sales is another story.
