In Yahoo Search Marketing there is a "move" feature that a lot of people don't seem to use. So what is the move feature?

In individual adgroups, you'll sometimes notice keywords that perhaps would be best suited other places. These are called quality score killers.

These off the wall keywords can really lower your quality score over time and as such should be removed from the adgroup.

To fix this, there is a great function called the move function in yahoo.

To use it, first create a second adgroup focused around the keyword you will be removing from the main adgroup. Make sure to target your ad and landing page as much as possible to this particular keyword.

After that, go into your main adgroup and use the search tool to search for any keyword that is similar to your new adgroup focused keyword.

Select all these keywords, click move and boom you're done! :)

Rinse and repeat.

Can you give an example of a quality score killer? Just think that may be helpful.

You know what would be nice? An actual yahoo editor.. then there wouldn’t be a need for “move” features. Regardless, thanks for the tip.
