As a webpreneur (my new "title"), my goal with making money online is to find the best ways to keep that money invested into online ventures.
Many people think that I am cheap and I'll be honest when I say that for what I make, I don't spend a lot of it. I think of it this way: the less I spend, the more I can reinvest into ventures online.
If you're like me and like to calculate profit / numbers regularly, you can get a general feel for ABOUT how much taxes you're going to need to pay for this next tax period.
Now, the way I like to think about this is that I have a pool of money that is waiting to be sent off to my favorite place in the world... the IRS. The more I spend on tax deductible, valuable assets for the company, the more I get to dip my hand into that lovely pool.
It's either do nothing and spend all your money on taxes or invest it into assets and thus I have chosen assets.
So, as the year is coming to a close, it's always good to be on the lookout for great ways to lower your tax bracket down to as low as possible while building your company. I look forward to telling you all about what I will be purchasing!
There are some great places to look at valuable assets.
First, there is sitepoint.com. Site point marketplace is one of the largest places for you to purchase websites.
A word of caution however: Do not purchase arcades, photoshop tutorial sites, proxies, etc unless you know how to market these type of businesses. Additionally, you shouldn't purchase a site unless you're interested somewhat in the market... Otherwise the site will probably die off. Overall, I'd stay away from the "Start up" websites as I think they're just not that great of deals.
One other thing to think about when purchasing (Thank my girlfriends Dad for the wisdom): Why are these people wanting to sell the business? What skeletons are in their closet essentially... Where is the market going?
Next, there is Digital Point Forums. Known as the largest web master forum on the internet. The buy / sell marketplace is a great place to find good deals on domains, websites, and other things. Another great place to locate some great assets
.
Lastly, there is Sedo and DNForum. These two places are the top two places (that I can think of) to buy premium domains.
I like to think of domains as real estate. Because essentially... they are virtual real estate and what's the rule? Location, Location, Location.
Now... go buy something!

Good stuff. When (if) I ever get to the point where I need to worry about that I’ll have to come back to this post.
I love it! I am always looking for ways to pay less taxes. This just gave me another way to save
Wish you would have made this post about a month ago before I dropped 700 bones on a stupid photoshop tutorial website. I’m somewhat of a designer myself, but I kenw I wouldn’t have time to market it or make anything of it. Trying to figure out why I bought it. What’s more? Photoshop Tutorial website traffic is not the buy/click type. They read the tutorials, and get the hell off the site. They don’t have time to click any affiliate ads. They’re trying to learn how to design a 3d ball for hells sake.
Just to re-emphasize: Don’t Buy A Photoshop Tutorial Website unless you’ve got some serious marketing/designing skills.
ahahaha, Obama won lol!
Oh boo-hoo, now you’re going to have to pay a HUGE amount of taxes, how will you ever survive now!?
You know, since this world is really all about money…atleast acording to you…how very Christian of you.
WTH!!! Obama’s now the prez and 250,000 people have lost their jobs. Gas prices are still high. Two days since the election the stock market is down 1000 points. He won’t pay hundreds of people who volunteered for him. And why hasn’t he sent a check to pay my mortgage? I thought he was supposed to fix the economy!? So much for “change”.
tax evasion lol
I think online ventures are a great way to make money. ^ Obama is pretty tech savvy so thats good for us.
I did want to mention that revenue share sites like Flixya.com, hubpages, blogger are all great ways to get started in making money online without any capital. Just some time (which of course I am sure most of us have free time at work — hehe).
Anyway, thanks for the post.
