How do you plan your search marketing campaign launch?
Here is a couple pointers to how I plan my campaigns!
First, I find the offer I think is in a good market with high potential. Check this post for more information on what type of offers I like to research.
Generally I check with AzoogleAds FIRST, Incentaclick Second, and PepperjamAds Last. If I cant find something I want in those, I check some of the other networks I have listed here.
Next, I check out the competition. By search generalized terms in all three search engines, I can formulate what my bigger competitors are and what they're doing that works. You can tell if they've been around for a while by checking their landing page alexa rank and other similar tools.
They are inaccurate, yes, but give you a general gauge of the landing pages traffic. It helps...
Next, I generally start a smaller campaign in Google making sure to focus on quality score. I refine my ads, work on great quality and start expanding from there.
Next I work on expanding my campaigns out using more adventurous keywords and ideas. Again, proven keywords (basic keywords) come before unproven success ideas. Do the basics first, then work on the more advanced.
Lastly, I work on getting my profit margins up. I utilize tracking of every possible kind to optimize my pages to eek as much money out of the current traffic level as possible. Tomorrow I will write more on this.

My process is very similar except for the order of networks that I use to look for offers. I really look at my favorite 3 or 4 networks at once when I find a market I want to attack and split test the best looking offers targeting that market almost from the get go.
