When you have an affiliate landing page(s), the number one way to lose a lot of money is to have your web host go down.
I've been hosting web sites since 2004 and I've been with a long number of web hosting companies, mostly dedicated hosting companies.
So far I have been with:
- Ev1servers
- FDCServers
- SoftLayer
- Hivelocity
- A couple more which dont deserve recognition they were so bad.
- Finally, my current favorite: LiquidWeb
So, why do I like liquidweb so much?
As an affiliate, I hate down time. Sending paid traffic to a down server is pretty much the worst thing ever. I've had it happen many times (specially while at hivelocity) and it was so frustrating.
With liquid web in the ~6 months I have been with them, I have had nearly 0 down time. When I need something, it literally takes 5 minutes to get to someone who is actually knowledgeable and can help me.
When I submit a support ticket, it takes literally less than 10 minutes to get a reply, sometimes less.
I've been with so many companies in the past that have not even come close to liquid web that I can't stop saying good things about them.
If you are experiencing constant down time or issues with your hosting provider, you might think about switching. I know for me, it was one of the best things I ever did.
Check out this months featured money maker.

I’m currently with SoftLayer and have had no problems with them, and I really love how easy it is to organize multiple servers.
However, I just checked out liquidweb, and I absolutely love that Guardian backup service, that is exactly what I’ve dreamt of. I’m fairly sure I’ll be switching to liquidweb later this year.
Just a question, how usable is the members area? Is it easy to manage multiple servers etc? I’m assuming it would be, although your opinion would be nice (and maybe a screenshot?).
Thanks.
Hey Jon,
I was wondering what you use to maintain your domains?
I’m having a hard time consolidating where to put everything.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

seconded - i like them a lot too.
Nice find, I was looking for a new hosting account for this sort of thing.
Hi,
I am searching also for a new webhost. Do you own a dedicted server for your sites or is a “normal” webhosting account enough at LiquidWeb?
Before I got into AM, I ran a webhosting business (since sold), with ~3,000 clients. My experience with various datacenters also led me to choose Liquidweb and only Liquidweb to host the servers I am running now. Good choice.
Do you mind sharing the plan that you currently have with LiquidWeb
Im using liquidweb and do like them, they have a great response time but I do see some downtime..
Nice affiliate link.
Hei Jonathan,
Thanks for sharing your review. Looks like they are really qualited hosts that can’t be found easily on google, whats bad ofcourse!
By the way! Did you have some bad campaigns ? The Adsense under this post looks funny
Its hard not to be skeptical about your opinion when your sending us to the webhost company through an affiliate link.
Some people are so clueless..
@Adrian, then look @ the whois info.
Hmm, they are only a 30+ minute drive from where I live.
Thanks for the positive feedback. We are always working harder to improve our services and meet the ever changing demands of our clients. Our affiliates only make money when clients come and stay with us. That means there is really no incentive for anyone to refer people to us if they think they’re just going to up and leave because our service is bad. That makes our affiliates really important to us and to earn their referrals we(LiquidWeb) really have to follow through with our Heroic Support. Thanks Jonathan and keep up the great work!
Bluehost is also real good. That’s what I use, and they are phenomenal.
Sorry, meant Bluefur, not Bluehost.
hostgator is one good company also , plus they give us really nice discount
[...] some of you may know, I have three dedicated servers at my favorite web hosting company but this post really isn’t about [...]
Host gator is the one I use.I have no problems with it at all.
