Have you ever struggled to make a decent profit on a campaign?

If you're having trouble getting a decent profit, you can always take a look at the possibility of targeting your campaigns to the best time of day.

Let's take a campaign of ringtones for example. Let's say that ringtones convert really well on Friday all day but only as great at night time on weekdays.

You may get less traffic this way but if you're having issues being profitable, this should help you out.

One of the big problems affiliates have is wanting to make as much volume as possible no matter how much the profit cost.

Really, the main focus should be finding the perfect balance between profit and gross sales.

To time target your campaign in Google Adwords, click on your campaign and then click Edit Campaign Settings. Then under Advanced Options click Ad Scheduling. Simple as that.

One very important task that a lot of affiliates forget to do is forget to check who their competition is in the search engines and to check often.

You'd be surprised how much you can learn simply by seeing what other people are doing. To do this, simply pick your main keywords and search in google. Instead of clicking the ads of others, copy and paste the display URL. I hate it when people click my ads so I try not to click others ads.

The downside to pay per click marketing is that eventually people will realize your making money if you run your ads for a prolonged period of time. Because of this, your ads can get copied by other PPCers.

Now when you check your ads and see that perhaps your ads got copied or someone is dominating you, you can take the action to keep yourself on top!

I find that when my ads get copied, they quickly loose some of the effectiveness. So when Ads get copied, make sure to change them up to something completely different. You might end up finding something that increases your CTR of your ad quite a bit!

If I see other affiliates promoting the same product as me that are way higher up than me than I try to figure out if they're doing something better than I am. How are they at a higher position?

Could they be bidding higher? Could they have a better CTR or better QS? I find what's different and try to make the corrections to make myself beat them in all aspects.

Way too often when people start affiliate marketing, they come to blogs such as this one and they expect people to give them things on a silver platter.

For example, yesterday I write a post about TNX and an actual viable idea on how to earn some money. It could bring in a lot of extra cash if done correctly, I'd bet! But because I hadn't tried it, people say, try it and THEN tell us. To be honest this is the incorrect mindset to have. You wont get ahead at all.

It's hilarious to me that if you actually read all the posts on this blog you'll find more information about affiliate marketing than most ebooks on the market yet even still I get comments from people wanting more. Again this is the wrong mindset to have.

Instead, be willing to risk something. In affiliate marketing, fear of losing money is an easy problem to have. If you want to be successful, you really cannot have that mindset.

Get over the fear and be willing to risk something. You may not be able to risk on the same level as some but you must be able to risk something. If you didn't have to take risks, everyone would be making money online.

You'll see some big affiliates agree with me. Just check out the word fear on Paul's blog.

For those of you who do not have the issue of fear of losing money, GREAT! When ideas such as getting 10,000 links for $11 bucks a month comes (read the post below), you'd weigh the benefits and try it out.

I just recently heard of a service called TNX.net. If you have not heard of it, it's a service that allows you to both sell permanent text links and buy permanent text links.

They've quickly been gaining popularity simply due to way they have everything set up. They've really refined the text link selling business and eliminated (as much as possible) the footprints that buying links usually leaves (which is a huge plus).

Now, as an affiliate marketing blog, I want to talk about how this service really could boost your affiliate sales if used correctly.

Obviously there is quite a large SEO benefit to purchasing links but that takes a while and I'm fairly impatient. So let's talk about some of the instant benefits of purchasing these links.

Now, I have not tested it out, but my thought is this:

With TNX.net, people can sell links to EVERY page on their site (but it's not side wide, it's individual link sales on each page). With the inventory TNX has, it really shouldn't be hard to find a site that's related to the affiliate product / niche you're trying to sell. Take a look at their stats below.

(daily growth: +0.22%)
Sale speed: 23 970 Links/Hour
Pages in TNX database: 33 774 060
Text link ads sold: 23 083 808

You'd think with that much inventory, finding links related to your product would take FOREVER. But they have it set up into categories and it's fairly easy to narrow it down.

Now you find a site that is related to your affiliate product and buy a link on the page with a catchy headline more geared towards getting attention rather than SEO benefits. Now you're essentially driving targeted traffic to your affiliate landing page. This is one key example of expanding your niche. Think creatively.

This is a bit more risky in that you're not paying per click any more but it's easy enough to do a test and see how profitable each site is (thanks to a SUB-ID).

But let's be real, they say that you can get as many 10,000 links to your website for $11 bucks a month - sweet! Would it really wouldn't take many sales (specially if the item was over $11 commission) to make a profit from that? I know I'll be trying it!

That aside, TNX has a lot of other really cool features that deal with making money online via selling links (which is very simple) or even getting great tips on SEO (such as this one).

If you have been following me for any length of time, you'll probably remember the type of affiliate products I recommend promoting. If not, the type of products I recommend affiliate promoting are products that the user is desperate. Desperate people generally will do anything to get a solution to their problem. Our job is to capitalize on that desperation.

The affiliate program I'm about to tell you about is a perfect example which is why I agreed to review their health affiliate program.

Health affiliate programs are a perfect example of selling to a desperate niche. I mean, just think, what women doesn't want to get rid of the winkles, get rid of puffy eyes, scars, spider veins, stretch marks, etc, etc. Just think about it.

Now, the way that you market to this type of a crowd is sell the benefits to them. Keep the benefits such as "No More Wrinkles" in front of their eyes at all times. They dont need to know features... just benefits.

You sell them the product and get a cool 50% commission just for showing them a solution to their problem. The health affiliate program offers you 50% commissions on all purchases so it's a very nice compensation plan.

As far as keywords go, I think the best way for you to do it is to focus on those benefit type keywords and use them as your base to get started. So again in our example, you would start with keywords having to do with reducing or eliminating winkles.

Later you could expand your options out to some more areas but start with marketing to the crowd that is looking for the solution you provide. A great way to expand this area is by using the keyword tool, Wordze.

Health Care Affiliate programs are just one perfect example of marketing to a desperate market but trust me, there are MANY, MANY more markets. If you cant think of one on your own, start with this one.

When Myspace first came out, nobody was really using it to make money.

As popularity continually gained, spammers realized the opportunity and many people made literally tens of thousands of dollars per day. Ca-ching.

Now, I'm not advocating spamming but I'm trying to bring up some provoking thoughts.

As twitter continues to climb in both member base and alexa rating, one has to wonder how it could be used to make more money.

I'm wondering what type of spam bots will come out for it and even how it would be done, but I assure you it will come soon enough.

Just some food for thought.

Wahoo! It finally happened! After a lot of hard work and changing up of offers and revamping things, I have finally been able to hit my first 5 figure day in sales.

Yesterday (Monday) resulted in over $11,000 in commissions! This is primarily due to me expanding upon the niches which I have a good hold in as much as possible.

So far this marks the highest day in both sales and profit I have ever had. Profit margins were just under 50% which I am really happy with.

I have a handful of affiliate networks that this amount is through such as AzoogleAds, Incentaclick, and many more.

Many of you might be wondering how I went from $3,000 dollar days up to $10,000+. Well, to be honest I havn't been keeping you all up to date with my campaigns. I have got close to $10k before but I didn't want to post updates on earning until I broke the $10k mark! It makes it more interesting that way.

Additionally, as far as monthly income goes, well... I'll just say old records are smashed and I look forward to posting an update on that once the month is over.

Anywho, I hope this encourages you that if you work hard in affiliate marketing, you really can make a great living for yourself! It's not like those ads on the net say, it takes work. A lot of work and learning but once you take the time to do it right, you should be able to earn quite a bit!

Not too many people know about my beginnings as an affiliate marketer.

I, like many, had innumerable questions about being a successful affiliate. And to be honest, I wasn't able to find all my answers right away. There was however a couple who I looked up to who gave me many of the tools I needed to get going in the right direction.

Today, I want to talk about one of my mentors. His name is Derek and he run's a blog over at ClickConsultants.com.

Derek is a super affiliate (through azoogleads, neverblueads, incentaclick, and more) who certainly knows his stuff. He's had the opportunity to work with some other top affiliates such as Paul from UberAffiliate.com and more!

All that to say, his blog is one jam packed with very helpful affiliate information... and you know what? You can never know too much about affiliate marketing and/or internet marketing.

I have been following his blog and a couple of highlight posts you might want to check out are:
