Retire At 21

Would you like to Retire at 21? Perhaps just be able to retire when you're 21?

No, this post is not about me wanting to retire. I'm not going anywhere.

This post is about a site which I draw motivation from frequently called Retire at 21.com.

For those of you who do not know, Retireat21.com is a website that is all about internet entrepreneurs at a young age. The guys at this site take a lot of time to go and gather interviews from guys who are actually making quite a bit of money online and try to get any and all information they can get from them!

Quick Story:

A couple of months back, I was reading Josh's blog and saw that he had been interviewed by a site called Retire@21 after he had sold one of his sites for a huge chunk of change.

I remember thinking about how cool of a site it was and I ended up reading through nearly all the interviews they had posted up till that point. I was so inspired by those other young men and women who were living proof that you can be very successful at a young age (and old age).

I was (truthfully) getting excited about some of the interviews I read so I quickly subscribed to their RSS to get updates of new interviews and blog posts.

After looking over the retire at 21 dot com site for over a couple hours, I recall a slight feeling of envy because Josh made it on such an awesome website.

About a month later, I received an email from them wanting to interview me for their site and I was sure happy! It was certainly one of those moments that was like a "monument" in my affiliate marketing career.

As of recently, they have really been adding some high quality, well known names as well as finding people I have never heard of but wish I had heard of! ;)

Some of the interviews that I really enjoyed are listed below:

Additionally, You can view my interview here.

Besides interviews from top notch internet business men and women, this site actually packs a great amount of content as well. From the blog to some of their articles, there is not a single part of this site that I dont enjoy reading.

The main thing about the site that I think most people will find is that it's super inspirational. Sometimes as businesses / affiliates, we need a little pick-me-up to get our creative gears going again.

If you are like me, reading about others success often spurs me on to strive for that much more. Just reading about a 20-something year old making $50 million a year selling business chairs just makes me want to try that much harder.

If you need some inspiration, go check their site out! :)

Wow. Wow. Wow. New York was simply amazing!

For those who do not know, I went to New York to meet up with the people at AzoogleAds. The trip was awesome!

First thing I did when I got there was I met my Affiliate manager, Ryan Sessler and another great manager Erin for Lunch. Both managers know their stuff very well so it was very fun to be able to talk to them over lunch.

After lunch, we went back to the azoogleads office and I got a tour. They have such a modern office! I love how the entrance looks.

Azoogleads office

During the tour of the office, I got to meet all of the Azoogleads Staff. Wow. Every single person went out of their way to say hello and that was really impressive.

After the tour, I got to meet one of the people that I look up to quite a bit, Jeremy from Shoemoney.com.

Jeremy, myself, and some others then proceeded into the conference room to talk with the main guys from azoogleads about the company and other things! Shortly after we did a short interview / conversation for his radio show on WebmasterRadio.fm! So yup, I'll be on his next radio show! I was a bit nervous on the radio show so hopefully I don't sound too... stupid on it. Hahaha.

There were some great questions which you can look forward to hearing!

Here are some pictures in the office.

Ryan (my affiliate manager), Jesse (affiliate manager), and me (I'm distracting them from their work muahahaha. Just kidding.)

This was probably my favorite part about the entire trip. Just getting to hang out and meet everyone from the office was a great experience.

After this, we had a short formal speech from some more of the company execs and then went over to a restaurant / bar.

At the bar, Jon from WickedFire.com showed up and I got to chat it up with him a while. The thing about Jon that I really like is that he is the same no matter who he is around. The way you see him online is the way he is in person. It's great.

Just from talking to him I could tell that he really knows his stuff... more than most people I have ever met.

It's hilarious just talking with him because he has so many stories that would blow you away.

While in the restaurant / bar we all got some nice gifts from AzoogleAds including some nice sweatshirts, hats, and pens! Sweet.

As the night wrapped up and my eyes continually grew heavier and heavier from the huge lack of sleep that week, I took a couple more photos.

All in all, it was a great trip! Thanks again AzoogleAds for a great night! If you have not yet joined Azoogleads, you're going to want to join for 1 simple reason: They are simply the best in their class.

I'm on nearly every affiliate network there is and so I have quite a lot to compare them to. The main thing (and I touch this a bit in the Shoemoney show) about AzoogleAds that I really enjoy is the relationships that they form with their affiliates. They work towards long term relationships which last meaning long term business (money) for you and them!

Hope you enjoyed! I sure did!

Writing Goals

When you have your own business it's important for you to set goals for yourself.

Normally, before I start a day, I write out a list of goals I want to get done that day. I also have been journaling on my computer a list of campaigns that I know are verified money makers that I want to get into. This way, during the down or slower times, I have a huge list of things that I can use to generate more income. :)

I bring this up because in order to be a successful affiliate marketing, goals are very important!

Here's a little template that I use when I add to my list of campaigns to do.
- Niche: ______________
- Offer: ______________ (Offer number, etc)
- Sample website: ___________________ (include screenshot)
- Potential Earnings (Goal): ___________________ (Find this from an affiliate manager and ask what their top affiliate is doing in terms of revenue.)
- Marketing Strategies: (PPC, SEO, Article Marketing, etc)
- Attempted strategies: (If I've tried anything)
- Notes:

When you get ideas, it's important to write those ideas out so you dont forget and it's fresh in your memory.

The Jonathan Volk affiliate program has been running for almost a month now and some of you have been doing pretty well! :)

After testing out the waters, I have decided to change the rules up a bit due to a few people trying to game the system. As such the new rule is that if you're going to apply, you need to have a web master / affiliate related website. All other websites (such as people sending traffic from proxy, 'hot girl' sites, movie sites, etc) are now banned from promoting my program.

Also as an update, I wanted to remind you all that you just have a few more days until the contest mentioned HERE ends.

Thanks everyone who is promoting the program honestly. :)

Happy Easter!

Today I will be with friends and family and I hope you will too. This has certainly been a busy weekend because tomorrow I head off for Seattle, Washington!

After I am in Seattle for a couple days I will be leaving for New York to meet up with Azoogleads and my favorite Affiliate manager, Ryan Sessler.

I'm SUPER excited about the trip as I will get to meet up with some of the best in the industry. If you dont know, Azoogleads is THE best affiliate network and they're the best for a reason. They're simply better at what they do than any other network.

If you have not joined, I highly recommend you joining AzoogleAds. If you have any sort of volume on an offer, talk to your Azoogleads affiliate manager and see what they can do for you. Generally, they can take care of you and perhaps even give you better payouts! They have a lot of private offers that if you just let them know you're running X amount through another network they can possibly give you access to!

I've been with them for about a year now and in terms of volume, I do more volume through them now than any company.

Anyways, I'll be getting a tour of the company and stuff when I go to New York so I'll be sure to post a bunch of pictures from my trip.

I'll try to write some posts tomorrow morning and while I'm on the plane so that I can continue to provide you with some good posts. :)

If you've read my posts before (or watched my most recent video), you'll know that I love Wordze for generating large keyword lists.

This weekend Wordze is running one of their rare specials where instead of $45 per month, they're only charging $15 for the first month!

To get this special, you only have a couple days (Ends shortly after Easter), you can click this link. After the first month, you can cancel or continue your subscription for $45 per month after that.

Normally, I just sign up and get as many keyword lists that I can then cancel until I need more keyword lists.

Why does someone need to use Wordze? What does it do?
Essentially it allows you to tap areas of traffic that normally you'd not be able to find / tap.

It provides you with literally thousands of keywords which people are actually searching for. This way you'll be able get the "low hanging fruit" of search engine traffic.

Now, to get the most out of your Wordze experience, you're going to need to use a couple of tricks which I have laid out for you in my Wordze Review.

Make sure not to sign up through the link on the wordze review page or you wont get the $15 first month discount!

I have a 22" monitor and as such, finding wallpapers for this large of a resolution can be challenging at times. Though this post is less about affiliate marketing and more about your work space, a happy workspace can ofter result in more productivity which is why I agreed to review the website HDRWalls.

The term High Dynamic Range is a set of techniques that allows a greater "dynamic range" of exposures (the range of values between light and dark areas) than normal digital imaging technique. (Wikipedia is my friend hahaha).

Technical stuff aside, they have over 500 high definition wallpapers and photos for you to use. Pretty sweet!

Now, the thing that I really liked about the website was that you can not only get amazing wallpapers, they have also "presized" the wallpapers to fit things such as your blackberry and iphone. :) If I ever break up with my girlfriend, I'll be sure to replace the picture of her on oh my iPhone with one of these pics! But... let's hope it never comes to that.

Now, let's talk about monetization. Let's tie this into affiliate marketing a bit.

What are some ways that this site could use affiliate marketing to better monetize their site? Right now they're using Google Adsense, which is one way to make money but certainly there must be some sort of programs that would make him more.

While thinking about it, I thought it might be pretty neat to use the site to advertise some of the screen saver affiliates or something similar. You never know...

Anyway, what ideas do you think he could use to better monetize his site? How do you like the wallpapers?

If you didn't see my original post, check out the original review on the social millionaire here.

After talking with Patty Hankinson, the founder of The social Millionaire, about his website's growth, I found out that he's been doing quite well! When I first did my review on his site, he had just over 60 purchases. Today, Hankinson has almost 1900 sales! Wow! Now, not all of these were from this site as he was also featured on JohnChow and JohnCow.

It was great to hear that he was doing well.

Now, let's talk about the traffic I've received from the traffic purchased.

To date I've received more than 40 unique visitors. Not too bad considering it only cost me $1 buck. Breaking this down puts me at just around $0.025 cost per click. Sweet.

The main thing about his site that stood out to me was actually the quality of traffic that I got. The average time on my site was 75% longer than average.

All in all, The Social Millionaire has proven to be worth it at least for me and it looks like the site seems to be increasing traffic every day.
